What an incredible opportunity to be taught by Nellie Crane! Two tutors to guide you through their wonderful process of creating expressive landscapes. Nellie Shepherd (OUR FOUNDER) and Barbara Crane have a very successful art collaboration creating paintings together as one. They had a sell out show Summer 2022 at The Silson Contemporary Gallery and are presently creating a second series of wonderful paintings to exhibit within the Silson and Bullclough contemporary spaces.
This will be a rare opportunity to absorb their infectious energy and zest for colour, texture, line and form within an abstracted landscape.
Have you always wanted to dive into abstracting the landscape but been unsure how to start? Then this is the perfect course for you.
Through carefully structured exercises that stimulate your ideas about colour, line, shape and perspective, you will be able to liberate your approach to abstraction in a supportive atmosphere.
You will learn how to:
Make bold compositions that arise from your emotional response to the landscape.
Develop a vocabulary of personal mark making and the confidence to use these imaginatively.
Develop your ideas in exciting and unexpected ways.
Build up a wealth of source material that will take you into an exciting future.
And, most importantly, it will be great fun!
